So sorry to hear of Mr. McEntee’s passing (sorry, I am old school, he was Mr. McEntee when I was a kid, so to me he will always be Mr. McEntee).
What a sweetheart of a man. A wonderful next door neighbor. He had a good run, which he more than deserved.
My condolences to all of you.

I send my deepest condolences to Mrs. McEntee and all of the McEntee family.
What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful Man
I have so many good memories of Mr. McEntee, I will share just a few...
Watching "Big" Ed cooking in his kitchen moving carefully and thought fully in the
compact kitchen to create amazing meals, the wonderful smells wafting up the steps to Jeanne Marie's room , I always hoped I would be invited to stay for dinner or at least eat the left overs the next day, as nothing was ever wasted.
Mr. McEntee put Jeanne on a budget when she moved into NYC, therefore I was on the same budget since we where room mates,of $5 a day including transportation, this made us very aware of our past spending and caused us to look for bargains a skill I use to this day.
I was so touches to see Mr. and Mrs. McEntee at my wedding, they drove all the way to the east end of LI just to watch me get married.
In later years it warmed my heart seeing Mr. Mc driving his love Mrs. Mc, around to all her errands and to visit their family.
May he rest in peace ,as he will always be in my heart.

What a beautiful tribute to your father!
My Uncle Eddie was amazing. Even during these last few
months of his life, he and my Aunt Lillian still found the time
to check on my sister, Ellen, and myself to make sure we
were doing okay. Talk about a generous spirit!
I love you, Uncle Eddie.

Although we only met Ed a couple of times, we could not help but think what a handsome and sweet man he was. His generation gives us the true meaning of a “gentleman”. And....I knew that all the wonderful stories Jill and JR told us were true. I hope he meets my dad in heaven and they can reminisce about Jill and JRs wedding, meet my mom and share precious family memories

Being a NY FF required sacrifice. Working 72 hour shifts were tough adding to that a second job when he was off left very precious little time at home. Regardless, of how much he worked he always had time to take us fishing, bring us to the beach or practice baseball. Good memories.
. I tried to do the same with my kids.
Miss you Dad.
Thanks for the love and support over the years.

Just over a year ago, Pop’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren came together to celebrate his 90th birthday. It was a beautiful day spent telling stories and reflecting on the remarkable life Pop had lived. He was a true hero in every sense of the word and will be sorely missed by us all. We love you Pop!
