Obituary of Jean M. Johnson

Johnson, Jean Marie (Caulfield), formerly of Manhasset and Huntington, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Johnson. Survived by her 3 sons, Robert F. (Virginia) of Wantagh, Peter T. (Brenda Leigh) of Huntington and Stephen A. (Cathleen) of Garden City, Five grandchildren, Max (Samantha), Niccolas (Kelsey), Michaela, Emmett and James. Great Grandmother of three. Jean received her BA from Queens College, her MA from LIU. She married her husband in 1950. After living in Bayside, they moved to Manhasset in 1963, where Jean was active in the Munsey Park Women’s club, the IHM league prior to her joining the faculty at St. Mary’s elementary school in 1965. Jean was proud of career, especially teaching reading and preparing her second graders for the sacraments of penance and the Eucharist. Jean was a member of Plandome Country Club. Jean was avid reader, loved to play bridge, and travel.
