Obituary of Dorothy J. Truss

TRUSS, Dorothy Josephine (nee Hughes) beloved wife of 67 years to William, adored mother of the late Cheryl A. Cook (the late Stephen), Diana T. Truss, Lauren M. Bartkowski (Albert) and William P. Truss (Lee Ann). Loving Nana to Sarah Smith, David and Jessica Bartkowski and Eric and Alexander Truss. Cherished sister to Marilyn Klement (the late Joseph), dear sister-in-law to Frances Truss (the late Peter) and survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Great Neck, New York on November 8, 1931, Dottie leaves behind a legacy of Love for her family, Faith, Music and Dance. She was a dedicated member of The Catholic Daughters of America and Colombietes in Port Washington, New York and was an avid and successful bowler. Dottie will be dearly missed by family and friends. She was a true blessing to all who knew her. A private burial will be held at All Saints Cemetery in Great Neck, New York. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
