Bill was an unwavering example of a gentleman with the strong ‘old fashioned’ values of integrity, honor, kindness and love for his family and friends. He was a business colleague and a wonderful friend for over 30 years and our children were fortunate to see his sterling qualities as they grew up. Time spent on the water, including in a boat we owned together, are among many fond memories. Truly a life well lived.
Fair winds and following seas, good friend. We will miss you but take comfort knowing you are reunited with your beloved Jane and, with God’s grace, we will meet again under sunny skies in a peaceful harbor.

Mr. Mason as our family knew him, became a treasured role model. We were blessed with the gift of sharing many holiday and birthday dinners with the Smith family and Mr. Mason.
Bill remembered all of the important moments in our lives as our children grew up together. When our children were becoming young adults he shared heartfelt support in their life choices.
He was so genuine with Bob and I. He loved the relationship we had with the Smith family.
He was a loving caring person. I am forever grateful to have had such a admirable man in our lives.
Rest In Peace Mr. Mason
Love The Sommer Family

Bill & Jane were good friends with my parents Harry & Ruth Mallon. They are all now together again, most likely planning there next sailing adventure. I loved to hear the stories of the four of them together. I remember dinners at the club, fireworks on the fourth and visits out East. The whole Mason & Mallon Families always had a good time together. In the later years Bill would come visit us out in our Dix Hills house. He loved to hear what everyone was up to, and seeing my children grow. Every Christmas he would send them a subscription to The National Geographic magazine! He was a good friend to our family and it is so sad to know he is now gone. They all had such wonderful relationships together, you don't see that as much anymore. He was a good man!
