I met Mr. Neville when I was 10, because his daughter Erin is my best friend. In the 35 years I’ve known him, I’ll remember sitting in the back of his white Firebird, the boxes of Steiners pastry he brought home on Sunday morning, our trips to Colgate as he “fought” with Mrs. Neville on the air conditioning (ha), how late he and Mrs. Neville stayed up working, his love of Fordham, our trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame, cheering on Colin at his Yale lacrosse game, the toasts he gave at Kerry and Erin’s weddings. But most of all, I’ll remember how kind he was and how good he always was to me. He was a real family man with love and adoration for his children, grandchildren, his country, and for his Sue. May he Rest In Peace and may God hold him in the palm of His hand. Go Rams!
