Obituary of John J. Kiggins

Kiggins, John James of Port Washington, on September 22, 2020 in his 87th year. A 40+ year resident of Manhasset and parishioner of the Church of St. Mary, Manhasset. Predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia. Cherished by his children John D. and Jodi Gilligan (Dan), six grandchildren: John Patrick, Jennifer, Timmy, Matthew, Annie and Megan as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews. Beloved brother in law to Theresa & Dennis Grimm. Beloved by Barbara Patton Kiggins. A long time innovator in construction cost accounting, his passion was his family and sports, especially basketball. Coaching for more than 50 years at the high school & CYO level, an original CYO Role Model Award winner. He will remain a positive influence in our lives for his love, faith, loyalty, integrity, grace and his refusal to turn down anyone who needed help. Visitation will be held at Fairchild & Sons in Manhasset on Thursday from 4pm – 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 1015am at the Church of St. Mary Manhasset.
