Aunt Joann was the most wonderful person to the Manhasset Rice family in our childhood (we grew up across the street from the Conveys in Port) and especially when our Mom and Dad passed away respectively in 2001 and 2005. Aunt Joann was so considerate of every human being, she was compassionate and provided pastoral care to me in particular, helping navigate challenging situations and when I grieved over the loss of my parents. She was able to recall memories of my folks when they were young (Aunt Joann grew up in the same area as my folks in Forest Hills), and told great stories of yesteryear. I loved Aunt Joann and will forever remember her loving kindness. Jim Rice
