Mrs. Enquist (Millie) was my second mom. She cared for me, and my entire family, as I grew up. I and all her son Rolf’s other friends/classmates knew quite well Millie was extraordinary. I will never, ever forget how she frequently walked down the block to ‘talk with’ and comfort my ailing mom…and before that, my dad. Millie reached out to everyone she encountered. She (and the remarkable family she raised) was/is nothing short of an inspiration and a true example of divine kindness and warmth. She was, in essence, a mentor to my soul. The world is so much more beautiful, more peaceful, and spiritual because of Millie. I will miss her, but I find comfort in the fact she is home with God and love.

I remember Whitney family visits to the Enquists at Little Kake Sunapee. Fond childhood memories also of being taught bridge at your family home in Manhasset.
