I cannot express how saddened I am at Michael's passing. He was an incredible man, successful but never ever lost his genuine care for his family, friends and employees. I've known Michael for over 20 years and worked for him for 15 of that time. He allowed me to do the job and trusted me, as I did him. I had the pleasure of traveling with him for business and conventions. He knew how to dine well! It was so enjoyable for me and my co-employees to hang out with him for many an evening. He is personally and professionally one of the more impactful persons in my life. Rest in Peace, MAO

Michael was such a kind and humble human being, so compassionate and thoughtful. I had the honor and privilege working for Michael and NIF for 26 years. Such fond memories that I will forever hold in my heart. One that I hold dear is when my Mom passed some 30 years ago. I remember Michael coming to me and saying.... BZ, if you or your family need anything, I am there to help you, jut let me know. I never forgot that, and I never will. That is the kind of man that Michael was. God Bless you, may you rest in eternal peace. 0ur paths will join together again. You were, "Mr. NIF". My heart is heavy.

I have had the privilege of working at NIF for the past 32 years and I must say I have never met a man as genuine as Mike Orlando. As I started my career I was asked to travel for various insurance conventions with Mike and that's where I really got to know him. He was a man who loved his family so very much, he was a funny man, a compassionate man, a generous man, a man loved by so many, just a good person who would do anything for anybody. Most of all, he was my friend. I will forever treasure our friendship and I will truly miss you Michael. My condolences to Michael Jr, Lizette and the entire Orlando family at this sad time. Michael, until we meet again, May You Rest in Peace.

My sincere condolences to the entire Orlando family. I will always remember Mike (or "Senior" as he was often referred to by certain of us) as one of the kindest, most caring gentlemen I have ever had the honor and privilege of knowing and also working with while at NIF. Mike always made a point of saying hello to me, asking how I was, and asking about our business. He always knew what was going on throughout the company he built and he never tired. He & Michael Jr. were also very kind to my wife whenever we were together on business trips. It must have been in the Orlando blood to be so thoughtful of others. I could see that his passions were his families (the love of his life, Patria, and his cherished children, Michael Jr. & Lizette, and the extended Orlando family) and his work family. He took very good care of all of them.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Orlando's in your time of grief. Please know that Michael A. Orlando set a very high bar for all of us to follow and that he will be missed greatly by those who knew him. I'm very fortunate to be one of those people who got to know him the last 13 years of his life.
