This man saved my life: I was wrongly accused of selling drugs and I arrived to court without a lawyer. I was outside the courthouse and asked a stranger if he knew where I could find a lawyer. Just as I asked he looked over my shoulder and Robert was walking my way. He said grab him he’s good. He was right, my case was thrown out at the Gand Jury. I’m very grateful for him. I just happened to mention his name today and was advised he passed. Sadly it was on the day I was born, but truth be told he was a gift to me. Thank you. My condolences to his family.

I want to express my deepest condolences to the Didio family. I met Rob when he was a young Queens ADA in the late 80’s. We had cases together and became friendly. What struck me most about him was his sincerity and sense of justice. He tried always to do the right thing. Later on when Rob was about to leave the DA’s office and enter private practice he contacted me to find out if there was an space in my office.
Sure enough there was space in 1220 and so began our friendship. His office which he shared with Michael Paul was right next to mine. We shared many good times there.
I was shocked and saddened to hear about Robert’s death. He was an excellent litigator. Who cared about others and believed in the presumption of innocence. May you Rest In Peace my friend.
