Obituary of June Devejian
Please share a memory of June to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
June Devejian, 91, died January 15, 2021 in her home with her devoted family by her side throughout her final days.
She will be remembered by her loving children, James and Jana, son-in-law, Garry, grandsons, Max and Grant and her sister, Irene, along with her extensive family and dear friends in Worcester, Massachusetts, the place of her birth, as well as family in California.
June married the love of her life, John Devejian (a former U.S. army veteran, who stormed the beaches of Normandy in 1944 and played his part in one of the fiercest battles in modern history) and together, they created a wonderful home for their family. Even after his untimely passing only 19 years into their married life, June carried on with strength, courage and dignity. She treated everyone with respect and was genuinely interested in people’s lives. She was loved by many.
June faced many health battles in her later years, each of which she faced head on with courage and without complaint. She lived independently as was her style right through her final days. She was immensely proud of her grandsons and so looked forward to spending time with them. She gave a lot of thought to family, friends and acquaintances, performing acts of kindness large and small. To people who really knew her, she was known simply as Ma.
June’s life will be remembered and celebrated by her family. Her ashes will be scattered across the coast of Maine as well as mingled with her husband in his final resting place. She will forever be in our hearts.
