At first I was intimidated by his big personality but over time I found out he was just a big teddy bear. I will miss his warm hugs . Love . Maureen R

Knew it was going to be a smooth closing whenever I saw Kevin there. His smile could diffuse any tension. Thoughts and prayer to his family.

Monday night hoops at St Peters with Charlie Vachris Dr Cos Paul Tierney Jeff Varner Vinny Lamanna Bobby Shields and so many others seeking those last moments of greatness on the hardwood.
Kevin Regan was a step above all of us ... he had a jumper that would make George Gervin jealous. He humored us with his constant talking but backed it up with a sweet jumper from deep.
I always thought Kevin would be an amazing coach down at PAL CYO Lions Field.
NOW ITS OUR TURN ... TO FILL THE VOID

No words can I explain my grief of losing my friend for 32 years.
1. The biggest smile on earth
2. A fight to survive that equaled any in history
3. A positive attitude bar none
4. Incredible family who cared for him
5. He was a Jet Fan ... heaven awaits ... he will be back for our Super Bowl
6. Club Champ - he made it look so easy and had infinity in time for hacks like me on Sundays
7. Gonna miss breakfast at Ayhan Hassan restaurant--- just hours of laughter and good food
8. Seeing him smile like the proudest Dad on Lions Field --- the way it should be.
9. Driving him to radiation and chemo and he was laughing the whole way ... I GOT THIS ... he sure did.
10. His beautiful wife ... man he got lucky
11. His Incredible wedding ... I don't remember much but it was epic.
12. Finally ... his two beautiful kids who we will hug and take care of them for the coming years. No time is too long ... no inconvenience to great to make sure they feel Kevs love

I've always joked that I was Kevin's caddie, but I'm prouder to say that I was his friend. I had the pleasure of being with him when he made his albatross on 8, and got to experience the pure joy when we realized the ball had actually gone in. I'll always laugh when I picture Kevin making the turn and walking out of the clubhouse with two strips of bacon, or finishing his beer between 14 tee and green.
I always admired how Kevin was always happy, how he loved to talk about AA and his kids, and how he treated everyone the same, regardless of who they were. Whether he was putting for birdie, or hitting a ball onto the tennis courts off the first tee, Kevin was always a pleasure to be around. Kevin is a fighter who I will forever look up to. RIP Kevin, you will be dearly missed.

It was 1999 when I left NY and through the years we kept in touch, a text here, a phone call there.....many ball games attended, Shea, Meadowlands and even the arch rival Dolphins in Miami when Kevin was in college down there....South Beach, North Hempstead, Golf, Caddying, Hoops at St. Peter's followed up by a few at J.T. Bullitts.....but it was the chance encounter, years after I left and was back in PW visiting, Linda and I driving through her old neighborhood, a trip down memory-lane, there they were, a couple out for an afternoon walk pushing a stroller....I knew that gait. As we pulled along side of them, from the back seat I rolled down my window and asked, "What's up Krash?" That amazingly warm grin we all know came big and full, "SCHMIDTY!!!" I opened the door and was engulfed in that genuine, loving, one-of-a-kind 'Krash' bear hug. His slender, tanned face glowed as he proudly introduced AA and the baby. We parted ways and kept in touch, a text here, a phone call there....one chance meeting in 22 years...yet this hurts, a lot. We love you Krash. Peace be with you and with your family. John & Linda

I have soooo many memories of Kevy! To have known Kevin is to have known someone very special and unique. Down to earth, hysterical and just so kind and caring. He met the love of his life, Arlene, and was on cloud nine when he became a father to Sami and Finn. You will never meet another Kevin ever ! He was one of a kind ! I will truly miss everything about my brother, his smile, his jokes, his happy, sweet and kind disposition. His quick wit was priceless ! Love you Kevin and it only gives me comfort to know you are with Petey and Jane. xoxox
