Obituary of William A. Stegman

STEGMAN, William A., formerly of Lynbrook and Southold, died on February 24, 2021 in his 97th year.  A proud WWII veteran of the US Army Air Corps, Bill was born in Lynbrook on October 17, 1923 to William A. and Mary (Moore) Stegman.  After returning from military service, Bill worked his entire career at the post office in his home town and retired as its Postmaster. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years, Myra, and his cherished daughter, Ellen Mary.  Treasured father of Eileen Dispenzieri of Port Washington, NY, Catherine of Yountville, CA and Brian (Rosemarie) of Fort Myers, FL.  Adored grandfather of Kristen, Allison (Ken Bromberg) and Courtney (Kevin Himes) Belolan; Shalyah Evans; Anthony, Monica and Peter.  Loving great-grandfather of Oliver, Paige, Finnegan and Lucy.  Also predeceased by dear sister, Greet, and dear brother Joseph.
