Obituary of Roy Boelstler, D.D.S.

Roy Boelstler, 85, passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Roy was born in Queens, New York to Ernst and Sophie Boelstler on June 24, 1935. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lois for 44 years, beloved father to his son, Gerard (Mary) and daughter, Laura (Eugene). Roy treasured spending time with his four grandsons: Hudson (10), Brayden (8), Blake (5), and Dylan (2). He enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and teaching. A respected dentist, Roy had his own dental practice in Flushing for 30 years and continued to teach students of dentistry at his alma mater, Columbia University. Throughout his life, friends, family, and colleagues commended Roy for his warm sense of humor, generosity, kindness, and commitment to his faith. He will be deeply missed by all.
