Langdon had such a bright spirit. I grew up with him as a neighbor, and he was the most kind, goofy kid. I loved coming over to the Woo house because it had such great energy, with Connolly and Langdon always joking around. I admired their relationship so much and thought he was such a great brother. The last time I saw Langdon, he went out to grab pancakes for breakfast for Connolly and I. We thought it was so funny that he called them “flapjacks” and made fun of him all morning. For some reason I also remember that one time when we were at the beach and someone put a toy truck on his back while he was sleeping, creating the strangest tan line. Many of my memories of Langdon are full of joy and laughter. He will be deeply missed, and my heart goes out to the Woo family.

It is not often in my life I get to meet people and watch their children grow... Langdon, years ago, thanks to a chance meeting at a restaurant, (“do you think they are soldiers? Look at those uniforms!!”) I got to meet you and your family and then take you around the NEW YORK the next day... it was and forever will be one of my favorite memories... your questions made me laugh, and I loved the moment when your eyes lit up when I said “oh we’re not taking the ‘normal’ way” and we wandered the ship looking at things... I am so sorry for your family, but grateful I know them and have known you, your heart, and your smile... As is a Sailor’s way, Until Valhalla, my young friend, watch over us...

I remember the time when I told Connolly when my birthday was and she was so excited about it. She said, "Jenny! You and Langdon have the same birthday. " That made me happy as well, since not many people that I know have January birthdays and sharing a birthday with my friend's brother was special to me. Every year, when I celebrate my birthday, I think of Langdon. Connolly also told me how she thinks of me as well when celebrating Langdon's birthday. Mr. Woo's birthday messages that he sends every year through Facebook make my whole day. I remember how Connolly would always compliment Langdon and how she is so grateful to have him as her brother. Hearing her, I really wanted to have a brother like Langdon. I will continue to think about Langdon on my birthday. Thank you Connolly, Mr. Woo, and Mrs. Woo for making my 6th grade special. From CYO, to Chaminade swimming, to Driver’s Ed, and to Disney, with Langdon there was never a shortage of laughs. Senior year our lockers were across from each other and he was the first person I saw every morning in the hallway, and even at 7AM he managed to always put a smile on my face. Langdon Woo was such a good kid and a hard worker. He was part of the Chaminade Family and swimming team with me. This guy wanted to work hard every single day. My heart goes out to his family. Heaven gained an angel. He is pictured in the back right after we won the championship in 2018.

Langdon was a great person, with such a kind heart. I remember when Jonas used to 'tag along” with Sarah to your house, Langdon always welcomed him to hang with his friends. This meant so much to me. Jonas always came home with dollar bills and candy in his pocket that Langdon and his friends gave him. When I hired him to help with Jonas' birthday party, my friend remarked how lucky I was to have somebody like him as a neighbor. He taught Jonas' friends soccer drills, and they all looked up to him and he made the party special. I've only had 3 babysitters, and Langdon was one of them because he was so trustworthy, even at such a young age. Over the years, I've often thought about how Langdon made his home and careers project for Connolly, and it always touched me what a caring brother he was, and you probably don't know that I've talked about this with friends because it was so perplexing to me that an older sibling could be so considerate. The world has lost a great one, but we are lucky to have known him. I am so sorry for your loss, and we will always be here for you.

Dear Alice ,
I am so sorry for you and your family.
I will never forget the beautiful boy running through your yard with Megan on our pre-school play dates. I pray for God to give the Woo family the strength to get through this very sad and difficult time. Sleep in heavenly peace beautiful soul.
God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for your family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
