I I was saddened to hear of Jimmy's Sunset. He and Shannon were a beautiful couple ! Jimmy was a gentleman and a heck of a salesman, warm and friendly and not surprised he was the number one salesman at his job! Rest in Peace and watch over Shannon and the children !

Jimmy was such a great guy - always a smile and a warm greeting. Fond memories of him with my kids at Jimmy's Shoes. Sending sympathy to his family - Sharon, Bryan, Matthew and Elizabeth. He was a Port Washington institution and will be missed.

My husband Todd and I have known Jimmy since Jr. High School and remained friends till the end. We spent some holidays together, vacations, concerts and many more life events. My children also called him Uncle Jimmy as he attended many of our family events.
Our deepest condolences to his exceptional family which was his proudest and happiest achievement. He will forever in our hearts. And minds as long as we shall remain on this earth.
We love you Jimmy.

Jimmy was a mentor and a friend when I needed it most. Jimmy was caring, kind, curious, and compassionate. I have known many great leaders, and what sets Jimmy apart is that he was humble and not looking for accolades. He was a worker among workers, and his legacy will live on in the many, many people he helped with his generosity and service. God bless his family, and God bless Jimmy. :)

I was not only a customer of Jimmy's years back with my four children but more importantly a lifelong friend having grown up in Manorhaven. Although I moved out of town for 42 years I never missed an opportunity to see Jim in town especially down at the Capri Marina where I have had my boats for 26 years. Time spent with Jimmy, whether talking about Port or the Western Long Island Sound we both loved and enjoyed, was time well spent. He was so proud of his kid's accomplishments and they were children anyone would be proud of. Jimmy will always be a wonderful memory that I will cherish during my remaining years now back in my hometown of Manorhaven and on the waters we both loved. Ken Kraft

Jimmy was my friend, ever since we met in first grade at Main Street School. We played music together, we formed a band together - and we grew up, and old together. My kids and my grandkids knew Jimmy, and my daughters still refer to him as "Uncle Jimmy."
I'm so glad I got to see him in this last month, resolved and feisty as he was, and, more than anything, supremely grateful for his loving wife and children. He was not going to let anything get him down.
We'll always be in touch, brother Jim.
