Obituary of Maria T. Avallone

Maria Theresa Avallone, 61, of Manhasset, passed away on Monday June 21, 2021 at home. She was born April 14, 1960 in Queens, New York to Louis and Mary Ann Cerrone. She graduated from St John's University earning a masters degree in Accounting. She married James "Jim" Avallone on May 28, 1994. Maria and Jim were blessed with two children: Michelle in 1997 and Marc in 1999. Maria was a loving and caring wife and mother and became very involved with her children and their school functions along with the church and religious activities. 

Maria was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) in Spring 2017 and her condition worsened over the past 4 years. She was surrounded by family leading up to her last days. 

The living include her husband Jim; her two children Michelle and Marc; her sister Carol Bellomo; and her brothers Bernard Cerrone and Frank Cerrone. She also had 15 nieces and nephews.
