Obituary of Anton Sebastian Moyse
On July 4, 2021, Anton Sebastian Moyse passed away at age 49 after suffering from recurrent bouts of aspiration pneumonia. Anton was born on July 13, 1971. As a child, his blonde-white hair attracted attention as did his mirth and sweetness. Unfortunately, while still a young child, Anton began to exhibit atypical thoughts/behaviors which eventually were diagnosed as mental illness. Due to this lifelong illness, Anton encountered countless unnecessary challenges. Nonetheless, he was kind, funny and had his loves like his mother’s tuna casserole and eggplant parmigiana, playing pool and Uno, watching action-packed movies, ice skating, soccer and of course, ice cream. For over four years, Anton lived at the SOCR community in Lindenhurst. The staff members of his “Adult” Family helped to guide Anton towards a more independent life. They also calmed him, especially during his intervals of great distress which occurred at any time, day or night. We thank them for their tender care of him. Most recently, the Mary Ann Tully Hospice Inn compassionately and attentively cared for Anton; we send our heartfelt thanks to these caregivers. We remember Anton as a gentle soul, ready to laugh and enjoy fun with those around him. Anton will forever be in our hearts, “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” – Thomas Campell.
Anton is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Moyse and his eight siblings, their families and the family of his departed sister Michelle: brother, Joseph Moyse, sister, Mary Moyse with her children, Maryn Marston and Melissa Marston, sister, Celeste Tabor and her son, Christopher Tabor, sister’s family (Michelle), Vince Latini, Angela Spellman and her family, Dominic Latini and Zachary Latini, brother, Richard Moyse and his family, Beth Zeranski and Alex Moyse, brother, Peter Moyse and his family, Joyce Stimpfel Moyse and Megan Moyse, sister, Elizabeth Moyse and her family, Christopher Spearing, Uma Moyse, Sam Spearing and Elias Moyse, sister, Renee Bishop and her family, Eric Bishop and Miya Bishop and sister, Francesca Moyse and her family, Abraham Murray, Isaiah Murray, Gabriel Murray and Levi Murray.
