Obituary of Elise Ingber
Please share a memory of Elise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Elise Ingber passed away at age 28 on October 13, 2021.
Elise received her Bachelor of Science magna cum laude with Honors in Business at Tulane University in New Orleans. She loved the colorful culture of the city, meeting new friends, and spending time with her aunt, uncle, and cousin. Elise had a passion for attending music events, dressing up and participating in Mardi Gras festivities, hosting pop-up markets and clothing swaps, and eating extraordinary amounts of cheese in one sitting.
Elise was a vibrant, intelligent, and sociable young woman whose creativity eventually drew her towards a career in art education. She was pursuing a Master of Art in Teaching at the School of Visual Arts in NYC at the time of her death.
Elise leaves behind her mother, Jeanne Bergeron, father, Charles Ingber, and twin sister, Arianne Ingber, as well as innumerable friends.
A private service will be held on October 22, 2021, for immediate family. Elise’s many friends will be welcome to attend a future Celebration of Life party, date TBA – after all, Elise loved a good party.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to a worthy cause. We recommend the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD), who works to improve the lives of those with bipolar disorder through education, research, and clinical care. Another excellent organization is 826NYC, where Elise volunteered in the last two years of her life. They work with students to improve writing skills and thereby their life trajectories. Elise supported their mission, and we hope you will too.
