I was deeply saddened to learn that Scott passed away last year. He told me of his diagnosis when we last talked in August. He and I have know each other since the pre-Y2K days and his time at Hitachi. We worked together with many clients and he was always the consummate professional.
Sharing your sorrow.

I was shocked to hear of Scott’s passing! Scott and I worked together at Hitachi for many years. Scott was a good friend who always bragged about his family and loved his “toys”. We kept in touch over the years through phone calls and text messages.
Scott will be dearly missed.
RIP friend.

I worked with Scott for several years and found out that he loved to ride motorcycles. I had the pleasure of sharing the road with him on several occassions and looked forward to sharing some adventures with him when he finally retired. I am truly saddened by his death and will most certainly miss him. He was a true professional on the job and a good man. Rest in peace, my friend and I know you'll be tearing up Heaven on your Norton.

The attached picture is from one of our many rides together. Scott is sitting on his pride and joy. He told me every single nut, bolt, and component of this classic Norton motorcycle was painstakingly refurbished until the bike looked and ran like new. Scott did all the work himself. Whenever we stopped to rest, folks would come over and admire his bike. That made Scott proud, and deservedly so. We wore communication headsets in our helmets and chatted the entire time we were riding. He was a dedicated family man who was extremely proud of his children. A loving husband, and the most technically knowledgeable project manager I ever met. I was always amazed at how he found the time for his many accomplishments. He will always be remembered and I will forever miss him. Rest in peace, my friend.

When I heard of Scott's passing, I was immediately taken back. He was an incredible friend and colleague. The impact that he had on everyone at Northwell, Bear Stearns, family and friends is just a testament to who he was. I had known him for a few years at Northwell, then one day in the elevator he had brought in his Bear Stearns umbrella. Ironically, I had the same one as I had worked there from 96-03. I then said to him, "I can't believe after all this time we had worked at the same company, and in the same building at 245 Park Ave". I believe that we had just missed each other with our time there, but we had the same bond as we had both survived working 60 hours plus a week there. It truly is a small world. We will all deeply miss you Scott and may the ride to the heavens be a glorious one! My sincere condolences to Scott's family and friends.

Scott was a great friend and colleague. He was an extraordinary person who was never at a shortage of words and information and very ingenious at many different subjects. I was impressed that he would make tools if he needed one, for a special task. It was admirable how he acquired comprehensive knowledge on all his interests and hobbies in life. Above these, were his family and vast amounts of friends. He was truly sincere and supportive with everyone he met. We don’t come across a unique person of his caliber, very often. We will miss him dearly. My most sincere condolences to all the Werner family.

I have provided a picture from November 2019 and prior to us going to lunch at his favorite place Jimmy’s Café.
Scott was a wonderful friend and co-worker that can never be replaced. He was an expert in many areas and provided me with advice on (cars, motorcycles, technology, politics, finance, music, family, firearms…). I called him the renaissance man because he always put things in perspective related to history and current events.
His first priority was his family which he loved dearly followed by his dedication at Northwell where he made it a point “do the right thing regardless of internal politics”. He displayed integrity and values that lack today in society. All I can say is: it has been my distinct pleasure to call Scott my friend and I will miss him dearly as I cherish all our discussions and his overall guidance.
My sincerest condolences to the Werner family for your loss. Rest in Peace Scott and keep an eye on your family and you friends.

This was a picture of our co-working team at the holiday party Jan. 2020 just before Covid. It was a great time shared with Scott.
I will cherish this picture. My sincerest condolences to the family of your great loss. Best Regards, Patricia Daryani
