Obituary of John Patrick Reidy

John Patrick Reidy passed peacefully on December 27, 2021 with his beloved wife of 48 years Irene and his son John at his side. He will be remembered for his cheerful love of life, his talents in the kitchen, his hiking in New Hampshire with his family and his ardent love for fishing shared with his brothers James and Christopher. He is survived by nine brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews and countless relatives and friends.

A long-time resident of Port Washington, John was born in Brooklyn, New York. He had an extraordinary 46 year career in the telecommunications industry with New York Telephone, NYNEX, Bell Atlantic and Verizon. He was an Air Force Veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter of Alcantara Church in Port Washington on Wednesday 9:30am . Burial to follow at Nassau Knolls Cemetery in Port Washington.
