Obituary of Wiladean Ihrig

Wiladean ‘Willie’ Ihrig, 95, of Port Washington, NY passed away peacefully on January 27, 2022. Wiladean was born in Leopolis, Wisconsin, living and working in the area until she moved to Chicago in her late 20’s where she met her husband, Milton, the love of her life. As a longtime resident of Port Washington, Wiladean was dedicated to raising her three children and contributing to her community as an active parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church and frequent volunteer. Wiladean touched the lives of many through her volunteer work and welcoming of ‘new’ Americans. She will be remembered as being passionate about family, community and helping others and will be greatly missed. Wiladean is survived by her two daughters, Ellyn Ihrig of Brooklyn, NY and Eileen (Thomas) Ihrig Wahhab of Wrentham, MA; her son, Thomas (Kelly) Ihrig of Frankenmuth, MI; and her two grandchildren, Megan and Dylan Ihrig.
