By a fluke chance, I just learned today, June 21, 2022, of Vickie's passing. I got to thinking about my now late Aunt Anna and late Uncle Tom Saparata, my parents bringing us to their house in Brooklyn during the 1960s. I remember it like it was just yesterday. Vickie had an incredible smile and a fantastic personality. Eddie & Lenny are my step-cousins, my mother's (Lucy Scimone Douglas) only sister Anna Scimone Saparata was their step-mother. I can still remember Vickie smiling at me so warmly and friendly, and how she and Eddie held hands even when they were sitting in side chairs next to each other at the house at 2442 E. 18th St. I was still in grammar school in NJ at that time. I last saw the Saparata's in 1970, the last time I was in Brooklyn.
Eddie, Lenny, Lucille, and family, I send my heartfelt deepest sympathies on your loss. May God bless & comfort you all during this very delicate time.. - Bob Douglas
