Obituary of Sean Thomas LoCurto

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sean Thomas LoCurto on April 6th, 2022. Born on May 3rd, 1988 in Garden City, New York, he proudly shared this date with his grandfather, Colonel Thomas S. Ferdinand. Beloved son of the late Frank LoCurto and Maureen LoCurto. Caring brother of Kelly & Andrew. Laughing and playful Uncle of Graham and Cecilia.

Sean’s life can be best be summarized by his three great loves: the Lord Jesus, athletics & family. Early in life Sean excelled in both Wrestling and football. His tremendous success on the wrestling mat as a scholar athlete lead him to scholarship attendance at Bucknell University. He was a proud member of the Division I Bison wrestling team where he earned his degree in Political and Environmental Science.

Sean also had a great love for his church family at Shelter Rock Church. It was truly his happy place.

Sean also studied Pastoral Counseling while he attended Bible College at Lighthouse Baptist church in Abbebville, SC. Sean enjoyed deep sea fishing, shooting hoops and snowboarding.

While a big man physically, Sean was a gentle and caring soul who endeared himself to everyone he met. Sean devoted his huge heart to his family. He was a loving son, brother and uncle to his family and will be irreplaceable.

Visitations and funeral service will be held on Thursday April 14th, 2022 between 3 – 5pm and 6:30 – 9 pm at Shelter Rock Church in Manhasset, NY. The funeral Service will be held at 7:30 pm.
