I'm so grateful to be able to write that I have so many funny memories with Donna. One memory that I will never forget is when I went to the Briguet house on my birthday and as soon as I walked in the house Noelle ran up to me and gave me a suffocating hug and held my arms down as Donna put the famous birthday cake hat on my head. I'm not one for attention so I was already turning red as Auntie and Eric both came into the dining room to sing happy birthday. I'll never forget the look on Donna's face as she happily brought in a single cupcake with a lit candle. She had the biggest smile on her face and I will always remember that. She always went out of her way to make me feel like I was special and even one of her own.

I’ll never forget our first trip to NYC for Christmas when you took us all to see the Rockettes at Radio City, visit the surrounding markets and see the Christmas lights. You found so much beauty in every day and had such an infectious passion for life. Thank you for your light and love. You will be so missed and remembered by all. ❤️

Donna, We met through our husbands, but I will always cherish our group get togethers, your hysterically funny dry sense of humor, and your authenticity. Whenever I watch Christmas Vacation, Joyeux Noel, or listen to our shared guilty pleasure John Denver, I will think of you. Love, Janine

Donna, I met your brother at Fordham first, followed the next semester by Tracy upon her arrival on campus. Very shortly thereafter, I met your parents and you -- the feisty, funny, beautiful little sister in a family that always made me feel at home in Forest Hills and Hunter. You soon became part of a five-person circle of (slightly) older friends, and from then till now -- for 40 years! -- we spent countless evenings together, playing poker, going to dinner, often hosted by you in your and Eric's lovely home. And momentous occasions at the Club -- your 40th; Tracy's 50th! Christmas brunches, and most recently, a St. Patrick's Day buffet there with Irish Dancers for entertainment. Indeed you were the glue of our group, often the one to initiate our gatherings. Never was that more appreciated than the times you opened your home and beautiful backyard to us during the pandemic. The beautiful spring evening that you and Tracy, Kathleen, Alli and I spent in your garden just two months ago -- with delicious Chinese food and a fire in the pit -- is a particularly treasured memory. I always appreciated your sincere good wishes for my family, and especially the prayers you always mentioned you said for D! It always moved me, and it does so now. Our group will miss you so; but we will certainly not forget you. To Eric, Nichole, Noelle, and the beloved Houseman clan -- the Zafians of NYC love you and hold you all in our hearts, while praying that Donna will rest in peace.

All I can say is Donna will truly be missed. She was not just the glue in her family but in our group of friends as well. She always made sure we were connected especially thru the isolating times of COVID. She was the first to get us going for holiday get togethers or just the 'monthly' poker meet-up.
I feel so lucky to have been her friend but luckier that she was mine! I will miss her deeply as my heart is broken with this unthinkable and untimely loss. I am comforted that since the phone call of this tragic event I have been able to hear her laugh in my head. She had a way of making you laugh with her at the silliest things. But laughter is one of the keys to happiness and she made us all feel that way in her presence.
I will miss you, my friend. Peace be with you now and forever.

When I think of Donna I think of her being the reason for so many of my favorite memories that have turned into yearly traditions. The corn maze, Hunter Mountain, Last Chance, Yahtzee and of course our annual Da Block outing to the Christmas show, just to name a few.
I owe so much of my childhood to her, her home and family become my second home and family. I am forever grateful for her kindness, laughter and endless knowledge of the best games! I love you forever!

Donna…where do I begin? You were introduced to our group as Tracy’s little sister but quickly became a TRUE member of the poker group. You were the one who took the time to reach out to the group and arrange get togethers, before we allowed too much time to pass . You opened your home and beautiful backyard patio for poker nights, birthdays and dinner with drinks. You were a natural hostess who made us all feel welcome. The entire group got to enjoy special events and brunch at your lovely Club. Generous, caring and fun loving are the words I would use to describe you. You will be missed

Too many to post. Talking about our trip to Florida and the fire alarm went off in the hotel running down the stairs with a person in front of us was taking thier time. Our trips to A.C Jones Beach but the best memory is our 1 on 1 time just sitting on the couch eating ice cream watching a movie or playing a game

All the Christmas Eves at your house, all the Radio City Christmas Shows, the dinners after, the many times at your house and in your backyard, and during Sandy doing laundry at Tracy's together. So many fund times on Da Block!

My favorite memories of Donna are of course on “Da Block.” We always had the best time at her house watching movies, playing in the snow or SPUD on the Field of Dreams and waiting for her to yell from the window that she was making us snacks, or ask if we wanted to light sparklers on Christmas Eve. She welcomed us all with open arms every single time the power went out since she had a generator, and made us look back the horrible time of Hurricane Sandy as some of our fondest memories.
I will always be thankful for all the times she took us to the zoo, the corn maze, Hunter, Atlantic City, and more; the car rides always filled with random games to make the time go by.
And of course, our annual Da Block Christmas outing to see the Radio City Christmas Show.
She is part of the reason our neighbors became our family, and Bayview Circle will love and miss Donna forever!!

One of my favorite memories with you was when we were driving through the windy streets of Montauk with the top down and singing songs together while Nicole was stuck at home working.
Nicole brought me into this family 9 years ago now, and while it was tough love at first, I eventually found that sweet and loving side of you that allowed us to become so close. You felt like a second mother to me and I will always carry your spirit with me and pass your love onto our kids one day. I love you so much Donna. You’ll ALWAYS be with me and the family.

Aunt Donna, there are too many memories. I play over and over in my head the time you, Auntie, Nicole, Noelle, Stephanie and I went to see "Mamma Mia" in East Hampton. We all danced out of the theater singing "Dancing Queen" as if we were in the movie. I'll miss being beat by you at every game we played, Yahtzee, Rummikub, Spit, Backgammon, anything. Our family trip to Disney World and your ability to plan each moment to maximize fun and laughter; you truly made it the happiest place on Earth. My godmother, I love you and I know you'll always be with me and watching over everyone who loves you.
