Linda A. Luna, lifetime resident of Port Washington, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the age of 76. Linda was born to the late Josephine and Lawrence Gnecco on March 23, 1946. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George, three children, Laurie, Claire and Larry, eight grand daughters, Lesley, Jessica, Pia, Stephanie, Brina, Becky, Phoebe and Julianne, as well as four great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kayleigh, Basil and Chloe.
Linda is 4th generation to Port Washington, with ancestors from Napels and Genoa she attended Port Washington schools and graduated from Paul D. Schriber highschool in 1964 and soon after married George and began their family. Linda worked in the St Francis coffeeshop, was a town crossing guard, was a competitive cake decorator and Wilton cake decorating instructor who won awards for her creations, restaurant owner, and volunteered at the St Peters thrift shop for many years.
Linda took great pride in being creative and thrifty but most of all loved caring for her loved ones well and being a support for all of those around her. She was a woman of faith and spent her mornings in God’s word. She will be greatly missed.
