Obituary of Daniel Cullen

Daniel C. Cullen of Glen Ridge, NJ, passed peacefully Thursday, December 1, 2022, at age 59, after waging a courageous battle with cancer.

Daniel was a devoted and loving father to his daughter Amanda (18), and a loving son to his mother, Lorraine Cullen, and late father, Eugene (Gene). He was a beloved older brother to his sister, Cathleen (Cullen) Contino, brothers, Sean Cullen (wife, Tracey), and Matthew Cullen, and will be remembered with love by his 10 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and friends.

Daniel was born on July 13, 1963, was raised in Great Neck, NY, and graduated from Great Neck North High School (1981) and St. Bonaventure University (1985). Daniel spent many years living near his beloved ocean in Long Beach, NY before finally settling in Glen Ridge, NJ for over 20 years to raise his daughter, Amanda.

He loved his Rangers, Mets, Giants, and Bonnies. Spending time with his daughter Amanda and family at Friends Lake in the Adirondack Mountains was an annual rite. Long, deep and spirited conversations with family and friends were frequent and entertaining. His adopted greeting of “Peace and Love” will be a lasting memory.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home located at 1570 Northern Blvd, Manhasset, NY 11030.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 10:15 am at St Mary’s Catholic Church located at 1300 Northern Blvd, Manhasset, NY 11030

Celebration of Daniel to immediately follow the Funeral Mass at Schout Bay Tavern located at 118 Plandome Road, Manhasset, NY 11030
