I just learned of Joe's passing and it has touched me deeply. For as long as I've been mediating cases, I have always enjoyed Joe's participation in a case. He was truly a gentleman and a scholar. He will be missed by all of us that regularly articulated with his gentle and confident representation of his clients and my deepest condolences are extended to his wife and children of whom he spoke with great pride and fondness. So sorry for your great loss.

Joe was great, went to Carolina together in the 70s. great sense of humor and art, he and Don Lockerbie once sang in duet fashion the opening song to The Music Man in our dorm. sunny dispositions like his are so dear RIP my friend

My deepest condolences to Moira, Nessa. Caroline and Maddy. I worked with Joe for over 8 years and I witnessed his love and devotion to his family and his practice. I met Joe when I was just starting out in Business and he became a great resource, ally, defender, advocate, and friend. Always the gentlemen; thoughtful, poised, gracious and skilled - his reputation preceded him. I was very sad to hear of his passing and consider his loss a major blow to the civility and class of our industry, his role in it, and the practice of law overall. All of us here at Arsenal Scaffold that knew him, met with him, and conferenced with him had the utmost respect for Him, his staff, and the culture of his his firm.
