We moved to Manhasset in the late 1970's and instantly were welcomed to Beechwood Ave. by both Bob & Linda. Over the years our families became closer and we were included in the many celebrations of birthdays, St Patrick's Day and holidays.
Bob will always have a special place in our hearts, as he and Linda and their children treated us as family. Our memories of Bob as Santa is most likely our favorite memory as he made many children, including our daughter thrilled when visiting their homes on Christmas Eve. And of course, when his visits were done, he and Mrs Santa returned for a traditional Italian Christmas Eve fish dinner.
We will always have fun memories of the one and only block party the Symmons were instrumental in planning on Beechwood Ave.
Linda and Bob made sure there were games for the kids and plenty of food by planning PotLuck ideas to welcome all residents of the block. To this day, we smile when we talk about this block party.
When Bob became the owner at Dominge Real Estate, I decided to get my real estate license and join his team. I always trusted him, he was sincere, honest and gave us the best advice. He was a real "stand up" guy and he will surely be missed. We send all our love and sincere heartfelt wishes to Linda and the family. Please know we are here with you during this difficult time. RIP

We are sad and sorry to hear of Bob's untimely passing recently. He was a good friend and neighbor always reaching out to those in need.
Both Linda and Bob were always helpful, inviting, and welcoming to the Morse family when we lived on Beechwood avenue for 17 years. They were gifted in establishing strong friendships and bonds with all of our neighbors. Bob and Linda were kind and compassionate always willing to offer a helping had in personal and professional areas of life.
In fact, they included us during our first year living in Manhasset to join them for home cooked Irish stew and soda bread on St. Patrick's Day celebration. We were grateful to be included and belong to our Manhasset neighborhood.
They included everyone celebrating the Christmas holidays, by singing around their well decorated tree in their corner yard of Beechwood and Nassau Avenues in Manhasset. We drank hot chocolate and ate Christmas cookies too!
Bob's smile and bright eyes will always be remembered and his willingness to go the extra mile to help others being the good neighbor.
God bless Linda and her children with their extended families during this difficult transition period of loss and grief. You all are not alone!

We met Bob and Linda for the first time shortly after moving into the neighborhood in late Nov of 2014-- they were one of the first people to welcome us.
Over the years our friendship grew closer and he was a source of great conversations and life advise.
Bob was one of the first people to let us know about inclement weather and our times removing snow together after a storm proved to be great conversation moments!
It wasn't a surprise for us to go on a walk and run into Bob (usually washing his car!) and stop by to catch up-- he always had a big special smile when he would talk about his family.. especially his grandchildren! We would also end up sharing a laugh at the end after talking about our frustrations with North Hempstead politics and taxes..!
One of our favorite moments with Bob was the St Patricks Day party hosted at their home-- we had such a great time and such a privilege to meet his close friends and family members!
We will dearly miss Bob but know that his spirit will continue to live on.. thank you Bob for all the great memories!
