I meet Chris when our daughters became friends in the 7th grade. She was one of those rare people you liked as soon as you met her. She always greeted you with a big hug and that beautiful smile. These qualities easily transitioned to a daycare filled with joyful children. How fortunate they were to have Chris as their model and her own children were a reflection of all that love.
She will be terribly missed.
My deepest sympathy to her family. I pray they take some comfort in knowing she left the earth a better place for her having been here.

What I remember most about Chrissy is her beautiful wedding to Paul and the huge smiles they both had. You could see their love for each other was going to grow into a lifetime together.
In later years, I had a few inspiring convos with Chrissy about her advocation on behalf of women and children's issues.
My condolences to Paul and their children and grandchildren.

I was a teenager when I first met my Cousin Christie (who many of us called Chrissy) in Yonkers, New York. Chrissy was five years my junior, so she was all of eleven or twelve when we met. My Uncle, Carroll Joseph Brown (Uncle Joe to us) married Chrissy's Mom, Pania, and then we were blessed to have Aunt Pania, our new Cousin Chrissy (her lovely daughter) and our Uncle Joe as part of the Brown family. Later, Chrissy was joined by two new siblings, our Cousins Sally and Duncan Brown.
I was asked on several occasions to "baby-sit" (just be there actually) for Chrissy when Joe and Pania went out to a movie or shopping or whatever. Chrissy was a wonderful, perky and enthusiastic young lady and we had lots of great conversations and visiting. No TV and just "hanging out" while waiting for Joe and Pania to get home.
Three or four years later, Chissy met my Cousin on my Mother's side, Paul Mucci, the son of my Uncle Anthony and Aunt Antoinette. Six years after they met, I was privileged to officiate as a Capuchin Franciscan Deacon at Chrissy and Paul's Wedding. They were a perfect match and were married for 52 years, until this very day, and had two wonderful children, Michael and Marisa, with wonderful spouses, and four lovely grandchildren as well.
Chrissy will always be remembered, and she lives on in our hearts and memories. She has transitioned and lives now in peace while she waits for her loved ones to complete their earthly journey and join her in everlasting peace, joy and happiness.
God bless Chrissy, her husband Paul, her children Michael and Marisa and their families, and all of us who loved her.
Your Cousin who loved you from the beginning, Dennis A. Brown

There could not have been a better person for my wonderful brother to share his life with. I really got to know Chrissy when she and Paul stayed with my husband and I when we were stationed in Spain and they were backpacking through Europe. They took a break from real life and just had fun. So glad they had that time. Chrissy’s quick wit and love for adventure was just what we all needed. I had concerns that they would wind up in my parents basement but wait, they didn’t have a basement.
There was no need to be concerned. When they got back home they buckled down and created a beautiful life together. Chrissy got a teaching job while Paul worked on his Master’s. Through the years they had a wonderful life together. Chrissy had a talent for decorating and her home was always exquisite and comfortable. So many precious memories of her wonderful children and mine during the holidays. Everything Chrissy did, she did with style and grace. Being a wife, a mother, an entrepreneur, an aunt, a sister in law etc. So hard to say goodbye to my beloved, beautiful sister in law. You’re always in my heart dear Chrissy. Love you

With a heavy heart We say goodbye to a special person in our family our Aunt Christie. My fondest childhood memories of my aunt is sleeping over their house in Jamaica Estates and waking up to the smell of homemade pancakes. I still try to copy that secret recipe for my kids unable to master it. On Christmas every year she bought my sister and I the most beautiful matching dresses to wear we felt so pretty and special on Christmas Day. We spent just about every Christmas Day celebrating in their Manhasset home with the video camera recording the family opening presents as the smell of the lasagna lingered in the air.Every Easter the tradition was kept to make the “BUNNY cake “with my Aunt. As an adult I started that tradition with my kids. I always make sure the Bunny cake is the honerary cake at the table on Easter .When she gave my children books she always wrote a cute note inside. Both my Uncle Paul and Aunt Christie raised two amazing children and watching my cousins grow up I could only hope one day that my children grow up just like them so sweet and caring and loving people. When we had big family parties she always made it a point to get up and speak directly to that person to tell them how much they are loved. It was all about how family is the most important thing to her and every time she spoke with out fail she would get choked up. Now as a mother I understand why family is everything. I am so Thankful to have these memories Rest in Peace Aunt Christie xxooxx

The special thing about childhood friendships is that their family and home become your own. Marisa has been one of my best friends since my family moved to Manhasset when I was 2.5 years old – just down the street from the Muccis. There were many meals shared, sleepovers had, after prom parties hosted, concerts attended, summer days spent at “the club”, and countless carpools to school/sports/dance/camp (all of which started with Mrs. Mucci’s signature “buckle up for safety, buckle up” song in her old black Mercedes sedan).
As I got older and had kids of my own, I've realized how important it is to have a “village” to help. Mrs. Mucci and my mom were each other’s village. They became fast friends and genuinely enjoyed spending time together (which was amazing for Marisa and I!). Mrs. Mucci loved to talk and I remember when I would see her car parked outside my house that she was likely sitting at the kitchen table gabbing with my mom about God knows what.
They made a lot of decisions together – did we need to wear helmets to ride our bikes? When could we start shaving (or waxing..eek) our legs, how late could we stay out playing cops and robbers? When could we go to Jingle Ball? When could we go to Jingle Ball ALONE? When could we walk into town by ourselves? What were we allowed to do after prom? The list goes on…
They eventually planned family vacations together and then, when we got older, 21st birthday mother/daughter trips to Paris and Vegas (yes – we went to Vegas with our moms!).
Mrs. Mucci was the type of working mom I want to be. She followed her passions and worked hard – first with Christie’s of Manhasset and then with Friends Together Nursery – but she never missed out on all the mom things. She was always part of carpools, hosting team pasta parties, at all the games/recitals/water ballets. I’ll never forget her and my mom playing a big role in decorating for our frolic together or when the two of them waited all night long in the car at the Rite Aid parking lot while we camped out on the sidewalk for concert tickets.
As we got older, our friendship depended less and less on our moms – but I will always remember Mrs. Mucci as being such a big part of my childhood and I have her to thank for one of my oldest and most cherished friendships. Rest in peace, Mrs. Mucci. Marisa, Mike, and Mr. Mucci – just know my whole family is praying for you and are here if you need anything.

The MUCCI'S were OUR neighbors (Timber Lane) growing up, playing basketball in the backyard w/ Mike, we had such great memories, I used to cut through the woods in their backyard to get home sometimes, Mrs. Mucci would see me from the window and wave & I would wave back thinking she was going to be mad at me 4 cutting through but, she wasn't, she was simply one of the nicest people in Manhasset & we loved them 4 being such friendly neighbors... She was truly a good genuine human being. Miss you xo

I'll never forget when Chrissie ( as we called her) joined the Brown family. She was a beautiful girl, and a little shy at first. We all learned to appreciate her unique sense of humor and her hearty laugh. Her values were spot on too. When she met and eventually married Paul, our cousin on the Mastro family side, it was clearly a great match. Mike and Marisa are the result - and Chrissie's greatest legacy. Our hearts are heavy and we share Paul's loss. Rest in Peace, dear Cousin Chris!

Chris and I have been friends since we met at the bus stop on Chapel Road. They had just moved to Manhasset and Michael was starting First Grade.
Marisa was just a baby. That was the start of a beautiful friendship. We vacationed together with our kids during winter break for many years. We spent many holidays together at our house. We watched our children grow, go to college, get married and become parents. We shared so many memories.
She found her passion in teaching and opening Friends Together Nursery school. She always told me that she would never retire as she loved teaching so much.
And so dear friend, with a very heavy heart, and tears, I know you have already reconnected with everyone in heaven and are busy making everyone laugh with your bubbly personality.

I am so very sorry to hear this! Mrs. Mucci truly did love teaching children to read books (as mentioned). She gifted my son a book from her class that she noticed he loved to read that we still have to this day. We have many fond memories of her and she will be missed very much. Rest in Peace Mrs. Mucci. Our deepest condolences to the Mucci family. My twins were fortunate to attend Friends Together where Mrs. Mucci helped to shape them into the young adults they are today at St. Mary’s HS. She helped us grow as parents. To this day I can hear her voice when I say to the kids at home and work, “You get what you get and you don’t get upset.”
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
~Amen~
