My sincere condolences to the Fahey family. Mike was an awesome person who I worked with on the Floater desk when I came to First Boston in 1987. He had such a genuine smile, personality and taught me a lot.

I knew Michael as a quiet, confident man, and a proud husband and father. He took great joy in the accomplishments of his children. He was not boastful, but the gleam in his eyes said it all.
Michael’s passing leaves the world a little less. His legacy remains firmly intact. We all should be so fortunate.

Hi Mollye:
Beth and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Mike's very premature passing. Our heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family.
Even though it's been decades since Mike and I worked together, or even lived on the same side of the country, I still have some vivid and very happy memories of him:
- marveling at a throw he made from center field to home plate during a company softball game,
- being invited out to the Fahey estate for a day of golf and becoming involved in Fahey brother dogpiles, and
- scanning the Ranger and Islander box scores together to laugh about hockey fights and penalties.
Michael's athleticism, fun-loving personality, and positive spirit obviously made a lasting impression on me, as they have on so many writing here.
But don't get me wrong - he could be annoying. Just look at that face! He never seemed to age!! While all of us First Boston alumni got grayer, balder, fatter, more wrinkly and decrepit with every reunion, Michael never did - very annoying.
I'll miss you, Michael, but I won't forget you.

Dear Mol, Michael, Patrick and Meghan,
My heart is broken for the loss of you wonderful husband and father. I was there when your Mom and Dad fell in love at Georgetown and it was a truly magical relationship, one that was meant to be from the beginning. There was no one more kind and quick- witted than ML, and no one more dedicated to a girl than he was to his beloved Mollye Jean Jerva. I am sending love and prayers to your family. Praying for your strength because I know how much you will miss this man who loved you all so much and who was truly one in a million.
Much love,

My last conversation with Mike was about losing Bronco and how sad we all were to see him go. We talked about my dogs also because the Fayhe’s took care of them whenever I went away—I was too afraid to let anyone else watch them because Sadie had been Katie’s dog. They understood. The loss of someone as beloved as Mike is so very tragic and hard. But to know that his life was one of goodness, love, kindness and devotion is a legacy that will last forever. My deepest condolences my dear Fayhe family and so much love to you all. Liz Oppo

Mike Fahey made our neighborhood a nicer place to live. His warm smile and easy going conversation left you feeling lucky to have run into him on one of his many walks.
We met the Faheys because of Bronco, probably a lot of people did! When the neighborhood kids embarked on an ambitious dog walking service, Mike and Mollye were the first to sign up. (Poor Bronco even got a bath).I now understand that it was just like them to understand the kind of joy that this would bring to a child. Mike certainly lifted up those around him with this kindness and generosity. He will be sorely missed. May God Bless Mike and Bronco and the entire Fahey Family.
With heartfelt condolences,

Is was with great sadness that I learned the news of Michael’s passing today.
We used to skate together on the rinks at Beaver Dam where we met and played the kids’ game of hockey. But we were adults and loved it. Although we weren’t close, I think we both understood we were friends.
Our deepest condolences.
