Christine M. Regan, 55, originally from Manhasset, NY, passed away on June 27, 2023 surrounded by her family. Beloved daughter of Kathy Regan and Peter Regan (wife Jane) and cherished sister of Kathy Simone (husband Chris), Jennifer Burke (husband Scott) and David Biddle (wife Carrie). She leaves behind her treasured nieces and nephews, Charlotte and Will Simone, Ellie, Owen and Danny Burke and Gage and Griffin Biddle. She is survived by countless cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who loved her dearly.

After graduating from St. John’s University in 1990 with a BA in Psychology, Christine went on to earn her Master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in 1995. Christine devoted her life to working in various clinical settings, including substance abuse treatment, psychiatry and psychotherapy, with the last eighteen years dedicated to geriatric patients at LIJ-Zucker Hillside Hospital.

In addition to Christine’s many professional achievements, she achieved great success in the martial arts, earning a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a first degree black belt in Karate. Christine always had our backs and no one messed with her!

A spirited competitor, Christine spent many summers battling her nieces and nephews in Kan Jam, corn hole and any game to which she was challenged. She was as loyal and loving to her friends and family as she was to the NY Islanders too. Immensely proud of her Irish heritage, Christine wore her beautiful red hair like a badge of honor and never let a St. Patrick’s day pass without sharing her famous homemade Irish soda bread with an Irish blessing.

Friends and family are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, June 29th from 6pm-8pm at Fairchild and Sons Funeral Home in Manhasset. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:15am on Friday, June 30th at St. Mary’s RC Church in Manhasset. A reception nearby will follow, details of which will be announced at the end of Mass. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
