Obituary of Joan Ogle

Joan Ogle of Hobe Sound Florida, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023, with her family by her side.

Joan was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 17, 1939 to Marie and Salvatore Carbone. In 1951 the family moved to Great Neck, NY where Joan met a handsome USMMA cadet, Joseph Ogle, who became her husband in 1960. The young couple stayed in Great Neck for a few years before buying their first house in Manhasset, NY to raise their family. Adding to the lifelong friends they made from the USMMA, while in Manhasset they joined Plandome Country Club, and the list of dear friends grew larger. It was at Plandome where they fell in love with tennis and golf. As retirement drew close, they moved to Guilford Connecticut to be closer to family. Sadly, Joe passed away in 2003, and in 2020 Joan moved to the community of Eaglewood in Hobe Sound Florida, where she made even more friends and thoroughly enjoyed her final years.

Joan leaves behind her three children, Michael, Susanne, and Jennifer, sister Eileen (Chips), brother in law Bruce, and her four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Sara, Cameron, Connor, and many other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years Joseph, and her brother Richard (Carbone).
