Dr Vitale was my daughter's pediatrician until she was 19 and my younger daughter's pediatrician from birth until she took leave from the practice. She was so kind and gentle. She always had a smile on her face! She also was so knowledgeable, and I trusted my daughters were in great care with her. I'm so sorry to hear this news and I send light and love to her family, especially her sons she always beamed when she spoke about.

My condolences to the family of Dr. Vitale. She was my pediatrician throughout my entire childhood. She inspired and encouraged me to become a doctor. I have such fond memories of us discussing my plans for the future. She was truly a wonderful woman. I am now a pediatrician myself, in my last year of residency. Our deepest condolences goes out to the family of Dr. Vitale. My family and I are shocked and heartbroken to have just learned about Dr. Vitale’s passing. For about 18 years or so Dr. V took care of my daughter, and at times my 2 boys. Although they are all adults now and it has been been a while that they had seen Dr. Vitale, they still remember her well. Both of our sons had Dr. Vitale as their pediatrician. Not only was she a great doctor, but she was an amazing person. She not only cared about our sons' well-being, but she cared so much about our well-being too. She always told us to not only take care of our sons but to take care of ourselves. Not that long ago, she was even trying to find us a babysitter for them. All this while she was sick. Like others have said, she was selfless. You just don't get any more selfless than that. When I got the news of her passing through a Westmed email, my heart stopped. I told my wife and we decided that we had to go to her Wake after work. We picked up our 22-month-old and 5-year-old and drove straight there to give our respects. We consider her family, and we always will love her. I was totally taken aback when I received the email this morning that Dr. Vitale was no longer with us. She has been my daughter’s pediatrician since birth. My daughter Dayna is only a year younger than her boys and we would always find time during our visits to discuss our children’s milestones. She was more of a friend than a doctor. We moved to Florida but would still travel to New York for appointments with her. Dayna has been inconsolable since I finally broke down and told her. Our hearts break for her boys and her family.

There are not enough words to describe the type of doctor Dr.Vitale was. She was not only my pediatrician but also my children’s. Dr. Vitale was always smiling, always put me at ease and considering how overly anxious I am she was always patient with me. I valued her opinion and I looked forward to all of our visits. When we moved I had a hard time letting go and I would drive an hour to go see her because she was worth it. I am so shocked and terribly saddened for Dr. Vitale and all who loved her. She was my son AJ's wonderful pediatrician from when he was just a month old. When I heard she was on leave, I hoped for the best and I thought of her often. We very much loved seeing Dr. Vitale, with her huge smile and the twinkly glint of her eyes as AJ practically dismantled the exam room. She knew when he was really sick, saying, "I always know when my little buddy is sick, he's all mushy and quiet." That became the gauge with which I measured how sick my son was. Dr. Vitale was the best pediatrician I could have ever asked for. I had been going to her for my whole life and I would've always looked forward to seeing her. She had such a loving and kind heart. She would always answer all of my questions, and helped me when I needed it. She made me feel comfortable when I was afraid of the doctors office. I will never ever forget when we got to see her one last time in January. She always had a contagious smile that lit up a room.

I started at Throgsneck pediatrics a year after Dr V, and came with the practice when the New Rochelle office opened. I wanted to mention how many wonderful memories we have had throughout the 18+ years I worked with her, from her engagement to Dave, the birth of her twins, the many holiday gatherings in office, and planning our yearly Halloween costumes and just had fun every day. It wasn't '"work" it was family working together every day to offer the best care to our patients. She took care of my two girls and always offered advice when needed for my two boys who saw Dr. Easton. There was always on ongoing joke between Dr. V and my husband since they were both Italian and me being Irish and I was not the greatest cook and could never pronounce the names of the Italian food properly! We all saw Dr. V as family and we will miss her terribly! May you rest in eternal peace Dr. V and I know you will always watch over your boys and Dave they were your everything <3

When I met Dr. Vitale 13-years ago I knew she was the perfect doctor for our family. My daughters always looked forward to seeing her at their well visits. When we moved to Rockland 6-years ago, we still went to Dr. Vitale, because when you find a pediatrician that is so special, you do not let a longer commute stand in the way. The girls felt safe with her. She listened and advised in such a way that made us all feel comfortable. Dr. Vitale felt like family and she will be missed greatly. Dr Vitale was an angel here on earth as she is now in heaven. Our deepest condolences to the Vitale and Milazzo family. Dr Vitale was an outstanding doctor to my daughter BreeAnna, Who is now 29 years old. Bree loved her, trusted her, confide in her, and felt safe enough ask Dr Vitale to care for Jayce Ray, BreeAnna’s baby boy “my grandson” who is only 8 months now, I know Dr Vitale would have given him the same professional care she gave Bree. We are truly saddened by her loss. God has received another angel by his side. May she Rest In Peace and watch over all her little patients.

Dr, Vitale was my daughter's pediatrician from baby to 21 years of age. She always welcomed us with a smile as she loved what she did. We are very saddened by her loss and wish the family strength and comfort knowing she touched so many lives. Dr. Vitale will be remembered fondly by my family. RIP, gone too soon.

We're all better for knowing Fara and the incredible family she created with Dave. Fara was the person I enjoyed chatting to most watching lacrosse games, I also enjoyed our banter after I'd had a couple of drinks...usually me talking too much and Fara setting me straight. It's stunning to think we won't get to laugh and spend time with Fara again, it'll likely never really sink in. We're here for Dave and the boys for as often and as long as they need. I miss you Fara, none of this makes any sense.

Dr. Vitale was both my kids doctor since new born. she was great. My son was passed the age limit to see her but she still took him because she was the only doctor he felt comfortable with. Our heart is with the family. Rodriguez

My children looked forward to seeing Dr. Vitale for their yearly physicals and I did too. She always listened to my comcerns, I never felt rushed. This past May was my daughters last physical with her and my appointment was cancelled because she was going to leave for a bit to get better. I insisted on seeing her before she left and I was told my insurance wouldn’t pay for the visit because it was too soon in the year. I didn’t care and and agreed to pay for the visit. I am so grateful that I made that decision and got to see her one more time. My children always felt safe and protected by her and I felt the same. She always spoke of her family and children. She was an Angel on earth and we were all blessed to have known her. May God look over her children and family and May she rest in eternal peace ❤️

There are not enough words to express how truly wonderful Dr. Vitale was to her patients. Her warm and beautiful smile and gentle hugs always made our well and sick visits to the office so much better. My heart goes out to her family, friends and all those she loved and cared for.

Dear Dr. Vitale,
The news of your passing has left us shocked and saddened. I have been crying since I heard. You’ve been in our lives since you first joined the practice - I’m not even sure how many years, maybe 20. You took such good care of all 3 of my girls. You were always so easy to talk to and so knowledgeable. Melissa and Claudia were so upset when they each turned 21 and had to stop seeing you. Sophia has been anxiously awaiting your return - she missed seeing you last year for her well visit. We will always think of you fondly. To say you will be greatly missed is a huge understatement.

There are no words sufficient enough for such a tremendous loss. You were the first pediatrician I ever saw for my first born, Michael.. I was terrified, it was all new, but your reassuring manner and wonderful smile made me feel so much better.
