Mary Catherine Mauro passed away on September 18, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Born April 1, 1938 to Reginald & Sarah Schlingheyde in Bayside, NY moving to Port Washington when she was 5 years old.
She married her high school sweetheart Richard Mauro , Jr. on August 29,1959.They lived in Port Washington where they raised three children.
Mary is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard, and her children Nancy Pohoreckyj (husband Daniel), Bonnie Hegeman ( husband John), Richard III and grandchildren Shane, Luke, Terryn and Brian.
Rest in peace Mary. We love you and will miss you. Forever in our hearts and in our memories.
