Obituary of Rosalie De Caro

Rosalie Catherine DeCaro, also known as Rose or Roma, peacefully passed away on September 29, 2023, in Manhasset, New York, at the age of 74.

Rosalie was born on June 24, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York. She is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 53 years Louis DeCaro, her children, Christine (DeCaro) McCarty and Gregory DeCaro, grandchildren, Alexandra Rosalia McCarty, Addisyn Isabella McCarty, Andrea Angelina McCarty, and Giovanni Louis DeCaro.

Rosalie will be remembered for her undeniable spirit, strength, and loyalty. She was passionate about life and a force to be reckon with. She was the first women to sell textiles in NYC, a consultant to children’s clothing manufactures, a student of Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and a member of SAG for her love and talent on the stage, a pilot, and a proud redhead! Her strength, and vibrant personality touched the lives of many.

Rosalie donated her liver and kidneys to LiveOnNY and thereafter a private memorial service was held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the American Heart Association. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
