Bobby's charisma was magnetic, yet when speaking with him, he always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room. Joel and I always looked forward to going out with Bobby and Nikki. It was clear that they adored each other. We would see the pride in his eyes when speaking of his girls, so proud, but never boastful. We are so sadden by his passing, but take comfort in the fact that he led a very full life. He will truly be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob for years. He was a friendly, fun guy and a hard worker. We had a lot of laughs telling jokes at lunch.
Bob was very proud of his wife and kids and talked about them frequently. He was a great husband, father. and friend and will be greatly missed; however, his spirit will live on. Your family is in my prayers.

Heartbroken to learn of Bob’s passing. We met when he came in for interviews at Purdue and in less than a minute knew I liked him. He was great to talk to, mostly about family but work and life too and Bob always had a way to make you laugh and feel good. I am blessed and honored to have known him. RIP! Deepest sympathies to the Palma family

Bob was my Manager at Roche back in 1996...plucked a bunch of us to be part of his MCR team. He built a great, fun, talented group...always remember being in the Presidential Suite (his room!) behind a piano laughing at a meeting at Mandalay in Vegas. That picture exists somewhere! He was a wonderful, special guy...loved getting the Palma XMas card every year. Will miss him but will speak of him often.

Bob worked hard, played harder, and laughed the hardest. We worked together at Roche for many years, but that was just the beginning of a lifelong close friendship with Bob, Nikki, Jackie and Stephanie. May Bob’s memory be a blessing, and may he rest peacefully.

Dear Nikki, Jackie and Stephanie:
I worked with Bob for many years and during those times we discussed business but mostly family. He loved to tell me about his girls and their accomplishments just as I told him about my daughter & son's accomplishments. We always talked about if there was a convention in Chicago it would be a great time for both you and my wife to meet. His deep love for family and friends was always evident. We would share photos, updates and may stories,. He will truly be missed by myself and all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our hearts go out to you and the girls. Just know he is always looking down and smiling at the wonderful family he has. He will always be by your sides as that was and is his way!

I have so many fond memories of Bob it’s hard to pick just one. Bob was a mentor to me as a young pharma manager at Roche. Bob was so humorous and alway provided a punch line that was sure to have me double over laughing in tears. He was also a fashionista-always styling in the best. In fact we use to call him “BPNY”. I got many fashion tips from Bob. Lastly, Bob was a true friend always looking to help and support. I will miss him dearly. I pray strength and mercy to his daughters and wife Nikki.

I was shocked when I received the news of Bob’s passing. I had the honor of supporting and working with Bob at Purdue Pharma for over 15 years. He was one of my favorite Directors. I look at his picture and can hear his voice as it was yesterday. He would come into the office and always had a smile on his face and a kind word. I met Bob at a Job Fair in 1996 at the bar afterwards. I told him it was a waste of time not knowing he was there as a potential employer. Long story short he gave me his number and I ended up working for Roche 3 months later. My experience was selling toilets but he stuck up for me and I got hired. I ran into him years later on an airplane to San Francisco and we drank wine and told stories about our lives. Unforgettable person and friend. I still owe him a ton. So sad
