Dear Mrs. Kiess, I just accidentally ran across Klaus’ obituary. Please accept my condolences. We met and played golf together at North Hempstead, where we both were members. I had old wooden desk and it’s pieces loosely in our basement and during one of our golf games mentioned it and he insisted to come and see it. He picked up the pieces, only half of the desk was left, and he beautifully put it together. He told me that it was an Italian or French desk, at least at that time about 450 years old. It has since been a proud piece in our home and we moved several times and we love it and I am thinking of Klaus every time I pass it. He would not accept any compensation for his effort and believe we had dinner together with you and my wife Frédérique at NHCC. Always in my thoughts.
