God Bless This Man. I was so very saddened to hear news of the passing of my old friend Carmine.I was fortunate enough to have met Carmine in 1996 through my friendship with his daughter Dianna. He and his family welcomed me into their home many times over the years, showed me much of his beloved New York and always treated me with kindness and humor. For a tough-as-nails bopper from the Bronx, he was a very warm and funny man who doted on his family and friends. His stories of his time in the army are HILARIOUS. His knowledge and love of New York sports was endless. His love of and pride in his family was simple, pure and true. He was a classic. An original. A total character. A very special guy. Truly a man of his time and place. It was New York that made men like Carmine, and it was men like Carmine who made New York. He will be deeply missed. Thank You, Carmine. It was a blessing to have known you. I will never forget your generosity to me and my family. May God bless and keep you on this next leg of your soul's journey. Love and peace to your family. Carmine was an amazing man. I worked for him for well over 20 years. He treated his employees like family and everyone loved him. He was generous to a fault and he was a dedicated family man and a true gentleman. He worked hard his whole life and loved every minute of it. He has earned his rest.
