Obituary of Bridget Jennings

Bridget (McCrann) Jennings, 93, resided in Great Neck for 64 years. Born on January 25th, 1931 in Cloone, Ireland, Bridget earned her Nursing degree in London, England. She moved to New York City in 1958 and worked as a nurse at various hospitals and as a private home care nurse for many years while raising her family. She met the love of her life, Tom Jennings, and they married in 1960 and lived a very happy life in Great Neck until their deaths.

Bridget’s happy life included Tom (predeceased, November, 2023) their 3 children, Thomas (Maureen), Maureen (John) and Eileen (James) and 12 grandchildren , Thomas, Terence and Meredith Jennings; John, Brendan, Brian and Connor Reardon; Maddie, Jack, Casey, Matt and Tim Ward.

Bridget will be remembered as a kind and loving partner, mother, Nana and friend. She will be missed by all. The family would like to thank Dr. Anna Levy and staff at Northwell Oncology and the Palliative Care providers at Northwell Hospital for their incredible care throughout Bridget’s illness. A mass will be held on Monday, June 10 at 9:45am at St. Aloysius Church, Great Neck. A wake will be held on Sunday, June 9, 5-9pm at Fairchild and Sons, Manhasset, NY.
