Obituary of Ronnie Snee

Ronnie Snee of Manhasset passed away on January 28, 2014 at the age of 90. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank. Loving mother of John, Bill (Carol), Mary Ann Steinmeyer (Dean); adored grandmother of Alex, Michael, D.J. and Alanna, dear sister of Eleanor Powers and sister in-law of Marie Gula. Ronnie was an excellent cook and baker and loved time with her family around the table. Ronnie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 28 years and served as treasurer for 14 years. She enjoyed many years of raising funds for the legion, particularly selling “Poppies” at the Memorial Day Parade Ronnie was an avid tennis player and enjoyed many years of matches with her friends at Memorial Field. A bridge player for over sixty years, she loved the game and the camaraderie of her close friends. She was a master of conversation and had a kind word for everyone. Ronnie never obtained her driver’s license, and was grateful to all of those who have driven her at one time or another throughout the years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion Auxiliary. The family will receive visitors 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 on Friday, January 31s, at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home 1570 Northern Blvd Manhasset .The Funeral mass will be held on February 1st, at 11:15 at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Manhasset, NY.
