Dear Ruth,
Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss.
Bill Toedter visited me last week and he told me of George's death when I said that I wanted to thank George for telling me of Jean's brain surgery. It was so thoughtful of him to let me know. Bill also said that George had helped him sort out the financial problems he had after Jean's death.
One of the memories of him from Great Neck was when Jean, Mary Beth van Nostrand were trudging our way to GNHS on foot, George ,with a full load of kids, would roll by us in his dad's grey car.
Thinking of you and your family, Lil Robertson

Daddy--you gave me such a wonderful life. There is no way for me to express the love, respect and gratitude I have for you. Right now my heart is SO heavy and aching. I still can't believe you left us. Two weeks ago You were driving back and forth to Garden City to work and shopping in all the stores to get your 2 fers and coupon bargains--LOL. There isn't a person I've talked to who hasn't said they have been lucky enough to be in your life and have said amazing things about the wonderful person you are. To me you were everything. I would always tell people "I am just like my Dad"( that would be the attitude I'm referring to). I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you did for me -- especially in my darkest times-- my family and I have had many. You are the wind beneath "OUR WINGS". You never said NO--to me or anyone else. I'm glad I (we your 3 children) could be with you when you left "US" to take your hopefully amazing journey. My only consolation with this is knowing you are out of the pain that you tried to hide so well. When you let me do your grocery shopping I knew how bad that pain really was! You always told US how proud we made you---well we are just as proud to have called you Dad and Pop Pop.
May the Dewars and corn on the cob forever flow for you! See you when it's my time. Thank you for my life and your love. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
Forever,
Lynda
