Obituary of A. Jane Jaffe`

A Jane Jaffé died in Port Washington, NY at the age of 89 on October 15, 2013 of colon cancer. Born as Anne Jane Sylvestre in Berlin NH, Jane, as she was known, attended the University of New Hampshire and Columbia Presbyterian School of Nursing. She received her BS in nursing in 1947. Most of her married life was spent in Tenafly, NJ. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Dr. Ernst R. Jaffé. She is remembered lovingly by her son, Richard S. Jaffé, his wife, Geraldine Jaffé, her daughter, Stephanie A. Green, her husband, Stephen J. Green, and her four grandchildren, Courtland and Caroline Jaffé and Andrew and Christopher Green. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Red Cross or the Ernst R. Jaffé Scholarship Fund at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
