I learned today, May 15, of Lucille's passing...ironically on the 12th anniversary of my mother's passing.
I always liked Lucille and found her to be an absolutely honest, open, lively and funny woman. Great company to be with and impeccable taste in clothing, furnishings etc.
Wonderful memories of you, Anthony, and Lucille in your parents' basement abound. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Andy Stronzer was thoughtful to pass along the sad news of Lucille's passing. I know Lucille from our youthful days at Camp St. Joseph's in Monticello, NY. Have the fondest memories of fun and laughter and great times together. I wish your family strength as you grieve your loss, serenity as you remember her in happier times and peace knowing she is in God's hands.

I am so sorry about Lucille, also sorry I never got to know her as an adult, my only memory of her was running around with a smile all the time. I do remember her gift to me for my first marriage, I really think it's the only gift I ever remembered. 40 years ago almost to the day. Lucille is my first cousin I ever lost, the whole family will be in my prayers.
Love,
Little Carl (only Uncle Al called me that)

Tony, my sincere condolences in your loss. I remember Lucille teaching the kids outside my classroom in the hallway. She always made the best of the situation by making a little classroom for them. It was a pleasure knowing and working with her. May she rest in peace.
Love, Elena

Lucille.. we are still in shock. Today didn't seem real. You were a beautiful, vibrant person, and there's not one person who met you who couldn't have absolutely adored you. I'm always going to remember your UNBELIEVABLY amazing fashion sense, your way-too-high-to-walk-in heels, your total Brooklyn personality, and how all I could do when you were in our living room was smile and laugh and wish the night wouldn't end.. especially since you always brought such delicious wines! :) I saw a lot of myself in you, and you truly inspired me so much to just be me, no matter what or who stood in my way, and there's no way I can ever forget that. You had a laugh that would light up a whole room! I am so, so, so saddened right now, but I am also so glad for those living room memories which I will cherish forever. Tony.. you are always and forever our cousin and we love you very much. We are always here for you, no matter what, and no matter how big or small with anything you may need..

Dear Tony,
Liane and I were deeply saddened to hear of Lucille’s passing. The world is a colder and emptier place without her warmth, love, and compassion. Liane and I want to extend our deepest sympathies to you at this time, as well as to Lucille’s mother Aunt Sylvia, brothers Al and Mike, and sister Mary Sue.
Lucille put up an incredible fight for life, and her example will remain as an inspiration to us all. Liane and I will keep Lucille, as well as all of you in our prayers. We wish and believe that the knowledge that Lucille is resting with God, will bring you comfort and peace at this time.
Respectfully,
John & Liane Pioli
