Obituary of John A. Ruecker

~~Beloved husband of Karen, loving father of Jessica, Christopher and Amanda and proud grandfather of Alexandra and Giuliana, John was above all dedicated to his family and friends.
In addition, John is also survived by his two brothers Paul and Peter.
A longtime member of the Freeport Yacht Club and former commodore John enjoyed boating in and around Long Island and was always willing to step up and volunteer to perform various functions in support of the club.
As a school teacher for over 40 years at The Greenvale School; John had the opportunity to impact many young lives with his kindness, patience and gentle character. His fine qualities however will not be lost, but rather carried on all those students and friends he touched over the years.
