So sorry to hear of Erika's passing. She was such a sweet, kind and loving woman. On a few occasions, I visited her at home in Manhasset where she was always welcoming and congenial. Together with her co-worker, Josephine Jacobs they were an inspiration to the staff of Manhasset Public Library. Their hard work, dedication and loyalty will always remain their legacy. My condolences to her daughter and family. May she Rest in Eternal Peace with Our Risen Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Ros, I am so sorry for your loss. I can still remember sitting at your kitchen table sipping tea and enjoying your mother's delicious cookies. Erika was a good friend to her German friends Emmy, Catrine and Hanna. They are all united now in a better place. I enjoyed visiting with Erika when she still lived in Manhasset and we reminisced about the "old" times when life was simpler. I cherish those hours I spent with her as she was the last of my mother's friends who formed a special bond as local German women. You are missed by many. Rest in peace Erika..
