Obituary of Lucyna Jaworska

Lucyna Jaworska died in Manhasset on August 11, 2018. She was born in Simiatycze, Poland on February 7, 1939 to Cyryl and Bronislawa Demianowicz.

After finishing high school, she had moved to Warsaw, Poland, finished Nursing School and become a Nurse.  She married Wojciech Jaworski, and had a son, Maciej. They divorced, and she raised her son as a single mother. She continued working, attended college and was raising her son all at the same time. She became a Psychologist and her job was to interview and approve military and civilian pilots for duty.

She retired early and came to the US. She was a very brave and strong woman. She looked after others, and was always willing to help. She loved Opera, which as her only true passion.

Lucyna is survived by her only son, Maciej and her grandson Albert.

She will be missed and never forgotten by her loved ones.

If Roses Grow in Heaven

If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.

Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
