Obituary of Samuel Christopher Lobley

Samuel Christopher Lobley, 22, of Locust Valley, NY passed away on May 10th, 2019 surrounded by his immediate family. Sam enjoyed acting, playing his saxophone, reading books and writing. He devoted himself to school. Sam attended Portledge School from Kindergarten through twelfth grade where he received many awards. The Portledge community was a huge part of his life. He proudly attended Tufts University in Boston where he received an honorary degree and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and was set to graduate on May 19th, summa cum laude. Sam is survived by his mother Lisa, his father John, his two brothers Benjamin and Nicholas, his devoted friend Ashley, and his dog Tinkerbell as well as extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at cff.org in honor of Sam or consider a donation to Portledge or Tufts. The family will be receiving visitors at Fairchild Sons Funeral Chapel in Manhasset, NY on May 16th from 2-4 and 7-9pm
