I have such wonderful memories of Fran. She curated the Manhasset History Exhibit on the lower level of The Manhasset Public Library and was meticulous working with me to have it just right. I enjoyed many library bus trips with her and with every conversation I came away with pearls of wisdom that I still carry with me. I miss Fran...She was a woman of substance -- a rare gem.

Fran was, without a doubt, a vital member of the St. Mary's community. I knew I would see her anytime I was there. The only uncertainty was what ministry she would be providing. As one richly blessed by God, she had so much to give - beginning with her kind and gentle smile - and she gave whatever was needed, whenever and wherever. I can only imagine the large, loving and familiar throng that was there to meet her upon her arrival at that place which was the object of her life-long service and faith. At the head of it, of course, was Rene... and what joy there is in knowing that they are together again. May the memories of Fran's multi-faceted goodness and generosity bring comfort, peace, and a smile to all who continue to love her, just in a very different way. Special prayers for her family, who also shared her with all. May she be with God forever! Fr. Jeff Johnston

My sincere condolences for your loss. Please know that God understands how you feel and he deeply cares about you (1Peter 5:7), and fully understands what you’re going through. Especially the pain and grief we experience when someone we love falls asleep in death. God’s word encourages all to throw all of our anxiety on Him because he cares for you. You can trust him with your innermost feelings, Pray to Almighty God for comfort and he will sustain you. My deepest Sympathy.
