I've known Bonnie since 1957 and had the privilege of being in the wedding party when Bonnie married her beloved Jim. Before the wedding Bonnie talked constantly about Jim. Jim this and Jim that. I had to meet this man! They shared a very special and loving marriage and raised four wonderful children. When I married and began a family, my husband and I became close to both of them. Four girls who worked together at Johns-Manville and their families had a J-M cookout every year at different homes starting in 1970. Even after one family moved down south and the children were grown, we still got together at least once a year for our reunion as well as Christenings, Communions, weddings, lunches etc. Our reunions were held in Scarsdale, West Islip, Manhasset, Baiting Hollow, Jupiter or wherever we could make it, but we never missed a year until Bonnie got sick a couple of years ago. Bonnie & Jim were so special and John and I miss them both so much!
